Jon's Perch

Welcome to the web home for Jon Dixon! Come on in, kick off your shoes, and stay awhile. To help you get to know me a little better, here's the short bio:

Professionally, I am an RF and microwave design engineer, and if you are interested you can look here to see what sorts of things I've done.

In my free time, I serve as Scoutmaster to Troop 212 here in Chelmsford, MA, as a Committee Member for Pack 170, and as the Greater Lowell District Training Committee Chair. I also serve as a member of the Church Council for Trinity Lutheran Church, Chelmsford, MA, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America . When I'm not doing either of those two, I may be on the air as AA1VO, playing my trumpet, or working (playing) on my computer.

Recently, I've taken on responsibility as the Manager of the Careers and Demonstrations Committee for the IEEE eMeritBadges.org Project. My committee is responsible for developing a high-energy presentation to attract middle- and high-school boys and girls to electrical, electronic, and computer engineering. This presentation will be premiered at the 2005 BSA National Jamboree in July - August, 2005, and then it will be expanded for use internationally.

To get a better feel for who I am, you might check out some of my publications, browze my photo gallery (large file), peruse my Scouting Links, or examine my Scouting Resume.

Check out my bookmarks to see what else I find interesting. If you want to ask me something, you can email me at j.dixon@ieee.org.
